Confused between Logitech MX Master vs G900? Even though both Logitech MX Master and Logitech G900 are glowing with highly positive reviews, they are actually more suitable for different needs and purposes. The two mice offer different benefits and features. So, before making your choice, it would be wise if you first consider what kind of mouse that you actually need. Do you prefer an ergonomic design for long office hours or crisp mechanical switches for gaming?
You can immediately tell some differences on the design. Logitech MX Master is quite bigger and heavier. The ergonomic design is meant for the right hand. It has a thumb rest on the left side. The thumb can easily reach the two additional buttons and horizontal scroll wheel – more on this later. The main scroll wheel feels very nice.
On the other hand, Logitech G900 comes with a lightweight ambidextrous body. Thanks to the ambidextrous design, it can be used by both left-handed and right-handed users. There are additional buttons on the left and right sides, and you can remove the buttons that you don’t use to replace them with a cover. The floating click buttons feel very nice and accurate. Features and Connectivity
The most highlighted feature of Logitech MX Master is the thumb wheel. On the left side of the mouse, there is a thumb wheel which makes horizontal navigation very easy and effortless. This feature is very useful whenever you are for navigating a large web page and graphical design works. It also supports gesture commands, which you can utilize to make your workflow more efficient.
Logitech MX Master connects to the computer via Bluetooth. It can be connected to three computers simultaneously. Simply press on a button to switch between the connected computers. It operates using a built-in rechargeable battery which lasts for 40 days per charge. It is recharged using the USB port. The recharging is very quick – it can get enough power for a day within four minutes.
On the other hand, Logitech G900 has a total of 11 programmable buttons. The buttons feel solid and precise. Although it does not have a thumb wheel, you can program two of the buttons for horizontal navigation if you really need to. However, despite being wireless, it still requires a USB port as it connects to a dongle. The built-in battery can only last for 32 hours, but it can be used as a wired mouse while recharging.
Logitech MX Master is equipped with the Darkfield Laser Sensor, which enables the mouse to track with superior accuracy and precision on all kinds of surface.
